Ready, set, let's craft!

We're done with Christmas and just finished up the New Year's festivities...now what?

Aside from pulling out the stash of books you came home from the library with, what are you doing to use up those cozy nights after supper or your free weekend?

When I was doing a little bit of research for this blog post, and why crafting is literally so good for you, I came across what Craft Maker Pro had to say about their top five reasons why they think crafting is the "Best hobby in the world".

5 Reasons Why Crafting Is The Best Hobby In The World

  • 1. Crafting Helps You Avoid Anxiety And Depression.
  • 2. Crafting Is The Catalyst Of Happiness.
  • 3. Crafting Is Good For Your Brain.
  • 4. Crafting Gives Meaning To Life.
  • 5. Crafting Helps You Become A Better Person.

I like number 1 the best, and can really relate to that. Making something with my hands is seriously therapeutic.  But for more interesting reading head on over to www.craftermakerpro.com.

Yes, here' s where I could really push my needle felting kits, but I'm not going to.  You have to do what you love and what makes you happy. Grab a paintbrush and canvas.  Make a junk journal from old greeting cards, discarded mail and school supplies.

My daughter's and I were at Goodwill yesterday, and I told them that if I had all the time and money in the world, I'd just go thrift and make each item super unique and cool.  Which I did a little this weekend.  I ended up buying and old pair of jeans and made an eye class case with it (pictured).  So super cute!!

Until next time,
